Baby Quilt For My Newborn Niece, Avery Kate
Since the early fall and winter months are generally my busiest time of the year here at O-Dog HQ, I decided to start hacking away at my long “to be made” list of Christmas gifts this past weekend. The first gift in order is a baby quilt for my newborn niece Avery Kate. I wanted to make something that she could hang onto for years to come, so I made it a bit bigger than the standard “baby size” so it can be used as a lap quilt when she gets older. All the fabric I used was from old WIP’s that I cut apart and reconstructed into this hodge podge mess. It’s bright, colorful, soft, and warm; all the things that little girls like. Here is a picture of the quilt top. I’m hoping to get the batting and backside sandwiched on and stippled this weekend. I’ll be using the rest of the WIP remnants for the binding as well.
